The new MIVEC Engines (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing
and lift Electronic Control) offer the latest technology
through a lighter engine with intelligent valve timing

power. It matches your driving style to minimise fuel
consumption at lower revs, while increasing airflow at high
revs for greater power and performance.
The powerful new 3.0 litre V6 MIVEC engine boasts an
awesome 162kW of power and 276Nm of torque.
The efficient 2.4 litre 4 cylinder engine has an impressive
125kW of power and 226Nm of torque. Combined with the
Continuously Variable Transmission this 2.4 litre MIVEC
engine delivers unbelievable fuel economy at only 9.5 litres
per 100 kilometres.
Sports Mode' Auto Transmission
Two transmissions are available in the all-new
Outlander. Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT )
with INVECS “Smart Logic” and 6-speed Sports Mode
for the 2.4L models and a 6-speed automatic with
INVECS “Smart Logic” and paddle shift Sports Mode
for the 3.0L V6 models.
CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)
is electronically integrated with MIVEC to
ensure Outlander is operated in the best
gear ratio for optimum revs. This ensures
maximum power and economy. What
you’ll notice is a smoother ride without
jolty gear changes.
Sports Mode Automatic Transmission gives you the best
of both worlds. You get the ease and convenience of an
automatic or CVT, with the control and flexibility of a
clutchless manual. The advantage is that this clutch free
operation reduces rev and torque loss usually associated
with changing gears, maintaining precious momentum
in off-road situations. Combine this with the paddle shifts;

Outlander uses the same mono-tube rear shock absorbers
as the legendary high performance Lancer Evolution, which

frame, side impact bars, and collision absorbing joints.
