The new Mitsubishi 380 ES provides the same
unique combination of style, power, performance, space and
agility that saw the Mitsubishi 380 win 'Australia's best
large car', and raise the benchmark in this segment.
The Mitsubishi 380's interior is spacious, even by Australian
large car standards. And the list of standard features is
extensive - driver and front passenger and front side SRS
airbags, steering wheel audio remote controls, cruise control,
automatic climate control air conditioning with rear outlet
ducts and power windows. And with the optional Safety and
Style pack, you can have traction control and 16" 6-spoke
alloy wheels.
Engine Performance
The Mitsubishi 380 has an all-new, fuel efficient
3.8L V6 SOHC 24-valve engine. Delivering 175kW of power and 343Nm of torque, it's a capable
of 0-100km/h in just 7.6 seconds and 80-100Km/h in 2.8 seconds.
It's also incredibly low on emissions - the Mitsubishi 380
is the first Australian built car to meet the stringent new
EURO 3 emission standards.
Ride and Handling
Equipped with Mitsubishi's Body Optimised Suspension
(MBOS) system, the Mitsubishi 380 provides superior stability,
excellent ride quality and agile handling. The Mitsubishi
380's 4-wheel disc brakes are combined with an innovative
turbo-fin grid ventilation pattern allowing them to repeatedly
generate unsurpassed levels of braking force, to provide outstanding
breaking performance.
Styling
The Mitsubishi 380 GT features tapering curves
to mimic the sleek lines of a sporty coupe. Its exterior boasts
17 inch 6-spoke alloy wheels, sports muffler and chrome tipped
exhaust as well as sports-style front and rear bumper. The
Mitsubishi 380 GT's interior offers body-hugging leather sports
seating, steering wheel shift knob and parking brake in addition
tot he sports-style instrument panel.
Safety
The heart of the Mitsubishi 380's integrated
safety system is Mitsubishi's Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution
(RISE) monocoque body design. It combines energy-absorbing
front sections with a strong driver's compartment to minimise
injury. ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD),
Traction Control (TCL) and rear parking sensors come as standard.
Transmission
The Mitsubishi 380 comes with a 5-Speed INVECS
II 'Smart Logic' automatic transmission that actually adapts
to your driving style. Combined with 'Sports Mode' sequential
shift, the Mitsubishi 380 gives you the ease and convenience
of an automatic with the performance with a slick, clutch-less
manual.
